Which country`s food do you like the most? What are the similarities and
differences between it and your own culture`s food?
I
like the Japanese food the most. There are several similarities. First, they
share the similar ingredients, such as rice, onions, garlic. They both like to
use soy and teriyaki source when cooking. Second, they have similar way of
cooking, such as steam, stir fry. On the contrary, the dishes’ style is a
little different. Japanese like seafood especially and their sushi and sashimi
is fresh and tasty. Chinese food has long history involved, therefore different
areas has their unique way of cooking. Such as Sichuan with spicy food.

The
greeting is shaking hands with respecting word and address. Dating back to
ancient Greek, shaking hands means showing people that you have no weapon and
you are friendly.
3. What kind of government is in charge of your home country, how did it affect your life and how has democracy in America been a change?
My
country is a communism government, which aims at establishing a classless,
moneyless society. Under the communism party, the economical market was
capitalist. But these twenty years, it is changing into mixing with free
market. I don’t think the capitalism and communism are enemies nowadays. To
obtain a win-win result, the
two
major countries need to work together, no more “Cold-wars”, or
“Blacklist”.
4. What religious holidays or other cultural events do you or others celebrate; can you explain your traditions for each?
Religious
holiday that I celebrate are Chinese New year, Moonlight Festival, Ghost Festival,
Tomb Sweeping Day, and so on. My favorite one is the Moonlight Festival, which
is in mid-fall. Usually, it is a harvest time and lots of great food. Families
are getting together, enjoying the moonlight and eating moon-cakes.
5. Do you have any daily rituals in regards to your religious beliefs?
I am
a Buddhism, and I will worship Buddha during the day, more seriously, some
people are vegetarian, not eating meat and respect life.
6. How would you describe famous sports in your country?
Ping-Pong
Ball.
7.Can
you describe a typical day for a child in your country?
During
school day, the students in high school usually start class at 8 am, until 12
pm, for 4 courses in morning. The afternoon classes start at 2 pm until 6 pm.
If the student is in the senior year, there are evening studying time from 7 pm
to 10 pm. But the situation really varies from cities to cities.

What different modes of transportation are used in your country?
Bicycle,
motorbike, vehicle, bus, taxi, subway.

At what age do you start school? Are you under a lot of stress in
school??
I
started my elementary school in my age of 7. I did have a lot of stress in
school since young. Base on the huge population in China, the competitions are
certainly high.
10.What could SCSU do to make
your stay on campus better?
-- I
prefer the parking can be free. for example, I am a student who drive to school
everyday, so every time I parking, i should pay 2-5 dollars. otherwise, if
i do not pay the parking rent, I will get the parking ticket. after all, we are
the student who studying in SCSU, so I prefer the student can have free
parking.
11. Could
you tell me a secret about yourself that very few people here know about and
that shows us well, who you are and what you stand for?
